About Startup Otter
Hi! My name’s Alex, and I’m one of the many 150+ proud Startup Grind Directors helping build community across the globe. Startup Otter was born from my experience with Startup Grind, the world’s largest startup community and, in my opinion, the absolute best community a founder can be part of.
At Startup Grind, I see firsthand what happens when founders, investors, mentors, service providers, partners, and ecosystem builders come together with the right energy and intention. Great conversations happen. Real relationships form. Ideas get sharper. Companies move forward.
But there was something else I saw.
The startup world has no shortage of people, resources, capital, events, or opportunities. The challenge is that too much of it is scattered. Founders are trying to find support across spreadsheets, private introductions, social platforms, inboxes, event pages, and word of mouth. Investors are trying to discover the right companies. Service providers and partners are trying to show up where they can actually help. Ecosystem builders are trying to make everything easier to navigate.
Startup Otter was built to help solve that.
My goal is to equip the startup community with more tools, more visibility, and more structure so the ecosystem can become stronger, clearer, and easier to access.
That is why Startup Otter exists. And while it began as a tool I could use to grow my startup community, I realized that everyone in the world could benefit from it.
Founders everywhere need better ways to be found.
Investors and capital groups need better ways to be discovered by the right companies.
Service providers, mentors, partners, and ecosystem leaders need better ways to connect with the people they are built to serve.
Startup Otter is an amazing tool. It helps users search, discover, connect, and understand who is building, funding, supporting, and showing up.
I built Startup Otter because I believe everyone working to build, fund, support, and strengthen the startup world deserves strong tools.
The mission is simple:
Give the startup community the right tools to make the ecosystem easier to find, easier to understand, and easier to build within.
Join me on that journey?
Thanks friends,
-Alex
