Returns Policy

This Returns Policy explains when payments made to Startup Otter are and are not refundable. By subscribing to a paid plan or purchasing a one-time membership you agree to this policy together with our Terms of Service.
1. Overview
Startup Otter sells digital memberships and access to software features. Because access is granted immediately and consumed digitally, most payments are non-refundable as described below. There are no contracts — you can cancel a recurring subscription at any time and you will not be billed again after the current period ends.
2. Monthly subscriptions
Monthly plans (e.g., PRO and CAPITAL billed monthly) are non-refundable. When you cancel, your plan stays active through the end of the current billing period and then moves to the free VIP tier — we do not refund or prorate the remaining days of a monthly period.
3. Annual subscriptions
Annual plans are refundable within 15 days of the initial purchase or renewal date. If you request a refund within that 15-day window, we will refund the annual charge in full and downgrade your account to the free VIP tier. After 15 days from the initial purchase or renewal date, annual plans are non-refundable for the remainder of the term; you keep access until the end of the paid year and can cancel to avoid the next renewal.
4. Founders memberships & one-time purchases
Founders memberships and any other one-time purchases are non-refundable once the payment is confirmed and the associated benefits (account tags, tier upgrade, license keys) have been granted.
5. Cancellations & downgrades
Cancelling or downgrading a paid plan takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep full access to your current features until then. No partial refund or proration is issued for unused time, except for the 15-day annual refund window described in Section 3.
6. How to request a refund
Eligible annual refunds (within the 15-day window) are processed by request. Email billing@startupotter.com from the address on your account with your name and the approximate purchase date, and we will refund the original payment method. Refunds typically post within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
7. Failed payments & chargebacks
If a renewal payment fails, we may retry the charge and may suspend paid features until the balance is settled. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact billing@startupotter.com before filing a chargeback so we can resolve it quickly.
